5 Reasons to Move in Autumn

September has been and gone and so has the summer sunshine. Nevertheless, Autumn is now in full swing and we thought we’d take the opportunity to put together 5 reasons why this season, is the season you should move house!

1

In our opinion, it really is the best time to move in terms of weather – never too hot and never too cold, which hopefully means it’ll make your move slightly less stressful. Nobody wants to be moving house in the blistering heat and we certainly wouldn’t want to move in when it’s freezing cold either.

2

Removal companies tend to have more availability in the Autumn, which makes it a great time to get booked in and receive a professional service. Having the choice of available slots means you can make the removal service work for you, so let them take care of all the hard work and spend time making your new house a home.

3

If everything goes to plan, you could be settling in and getting your house ready for the festive period – who doesn’t want a new place to put up their tree and fill with their cherished Christmas decorations, new candles and presents?

4

Autumn also aligns with all of the little ones being settled back into school, which is a real winner if you are trying to keep your house clean and tidy, ready for those all-important viewings. We think it’s best to wait for children to go back to school, have a deep clean, tidy your personal belongings away and book in those viewings.

5

Finally, whilst we are speaking of viewings, why not use this season to your advantage and use a ‘cosy marketing’ strategy to get your house sold! Light up that log burner, hang up a decorative wreath or take a photo of your property at dusk – who knows, this might set you aside from the competition and create the perfect environment for your prospective buyers to fall in love with their dream home!

We hope you have found these tips useful because we understand that moving house can be stressful. If you’re considering a move this Autumn, then contact us today.
