How long does it take to receive my rent?We generally have the rent payment transferred to our landlords within 5 working days at the very latest. Usually, our finance team have transferred the payment within 24 hours of collecting it from the tenant less our £39 inc vat service fee.

How long does it take to evict a tenant?Government statistics indicate it can take up to 41 weeks on average in some parts of the country before a bailiff is able to evict a tenant. We know that as long as the costs of rent recovery and the eviction process up to £100,000 are covered by our insurer, they will want to expedite the process to ensure your property is back in your hands as soon as possible.

Who deals with property maintenance?The landlord is responsible to arrange any general repairs and maintenance on the property. For general maintenance, we suggest either RatedPeople or CheckaTrade who provide tradesman search and comparison services.

Is your legal expenses an insurance product?Yes, landlord legal expenses is an insurance policy included as a benefit of our Basic plan. The policy is administered by Legal Insurance Management Ltd (552983) and underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc (202323). Both are registered in the United Kingdom and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Royal & Sun Alliance plc are also regulated by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Is there any excess to pay?An excess of £250 applies on legal expenses claims. Claims not made during the period of insurance, not notified to us in 30 days of the event and any claims occurring within the first 90 days of the agreement if the tenancy commenced before the start date of the policy are not covered.
